Hi Everyone! As promised, here are some more shipping updates...
US: The goods have finally landed at the LA port and have cleared customs! WOO! We are still expecting some delays from the port to the fulfillment center, and we will keep you posted on timing and ETAs .
CA: The merchandise is projected to arrive in Toronto by the end of the week. As soon as we have confirmation of arrival and delivery to the fulfillment center, we'll let you know.
AU: Deliveries are almost complete! We should be delivered 100% by the end of the week.
UK/EU: Expecting the status of these two shipments from our shipping partner tomorrow.

US Port Congestion Update

Hi Everyone!
We have been monitoring the US port situation daily and want to share the most recent information with you. Here's some insight into the situation provided to us by the shipping company...
"We continue to have major ocean congestion in the USA.
Reasons:
- More ocean containers being shipped to USA than ever before.
- Ports have become overwhelmed with the amounts and delays continue.
- Lack of Equipment (both chassis and containers)
- Lack of Dock Workers due to Covid-19 and Dock Workers Union regulations.
- Inability to obtain Pier Appointments for pickups, deliveries, or returns. (due to lack of dock workers)"
We are keeping a close eye on the US port situation and will have another update soon.
UK/EU Update: We are waiting for advice from our freight partner about UK/EU status as well as final delivery status for Australia.
Courier Update: All orders going via courier have been processed and are in route to their final destinations.

The Roci's are Landing!

I REPEAT... THE ROCI'S ARE LANDING!
We know you are all very anxious and excited... so are we!
We cannot wait for you to get your Expanse merch, and it looks like some backers in Australia received theirs late last week. Shout out to @orin.thomas for sharing and tagging us on Instagram! Don't forget: once you have received your shipments, please tag us on Facebook (IP Launch), Instagram (@ideaplanet) or Twitter (@ExpanseLaunch)...we would love to see some un-boxings and how the expanse fans you're all displaying everything!
Lastly, some shipping updates. As we mentioned, Australian backers are the first to get their Roci's (shortest transit time). And although everything else is enroute, the ports in most regions are an absolute mess due to continuing shutdowns, government-mandated closures, and a very long wait time to land goods at key ports. Right now, there are 35 container ships anchored off the coast of Long Beach, CA, waiting to receive permission to enter the port and unload...something we have never seen before. According to our freight company, there are delays to unload and clear customs at most ports, and we'll do our best to update regularly with new information as we receive it.
As of today, US shipments are scheduled to land this week, assuming they can get into port; EU shipments are scheduled to arrive at port in the Netherlands by 2/3; Canadian shipments have landed in Vancouver and are now enroute to Toronto via rail with a scheduled ETA of 1/30; UK shipments will arrive late February after being rerouted due to port closures because of the most recent lockdown (UK backers: we'll send more details as soon as we speak with our freight company tomorrow). Once goods land, we have to unload, clear customs and transport to an interim warehouse where goods are consigned to the final mile couriers. Again, as our freight company updates us, we'll pass along the information.....

We FINALLY have some information regarding shipping updates and tracking info!
All ocean freight orders are loading at the port in Hong Kong. Once the merchandise lands at the designated ports, you'll receive an email directly from our shipping partner--Easy Ship--advising you that your order has landed.
Once the order has been assigned to the courier, you'll receive a second email containing your tracking number.
Keep in mind that the ports are a mess right now, and both the ocean freight companies and the couriers are giving us very broad delivery date ranges since it's difficult to predict the exact dates until the goods are off-loaded at the destination ports. Based on that, below are the ESTIMATED dates when we're expecting goods to arrive to the destination port.
US: January 14 - 17
AU: January 3 - 5
CA: January 19 - 21
UK/EU/NL: February 3 - 6
As of today, the courier services are estimating that the time from the port, to the warehouse, to delivery to your door could be approx. 20 days. We're hoping that since the holiday rush will be over by the time goods land, things will move faster than that, and will keep you updated.

Hey Everyone, we still have some backers who have not paid the balance on their BackerKit accounts.
Friday, December 4 is the FINAL day to authorize payment; after that, goods will ship. Please don't let your order get left behind!! Follow the instructions below to log into Backerkit and pay the balance on your account:
1. Chick on the link and log into your Backerkit survey profile: https://the-expanse-collectors-edition.backerkit.com
2. Next click 'edit your address'
3. Then click 'update credit card' under the "Payment" section. Here you will be able to either enter your credit card information OR complete your payment via PayPal.
4. Once this step has been completed you are good to go!
